Say, Do, Vote (Dire, Fare, Votare)
The project Say, Do, Vote involved over 300 students from 15 Italian high schools in a 6-hour educational journey on active citizenship, ahead of the 2024 European elections. Participants explored the right to vote, national and European institutions, and took part in interactive activities such as a debate and a mock polling station simulation.
The project was carried out with the support of the European Parliament, the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Municipality of Verona, and the Regional Education Office of Milan.
Time4Results
The project Time4Results, coordinated by the ANSA news agency in collaboration with Fondazione Antonio Megalizzi, was carried out in 2024 to raise awareness about the importance of the EU’s cohesion policy.
The young volunteers trained by Fondazione Antonio Megalizzi as part of the project organised educational sessions in 12 Italian high schools and 4 European ones (in France, Spain, and Romania) to promote understanding of EU-funded opportunities.
EUSALP 2022
As part of the 2022 EUSALP Presidency held by the provinces of Trento and Bolzano, Fondazione Antonio Megalizzi launched a communication and training project in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento and co-funded by the European Commission’s DG REGIO. Throughout 2022, several activities were carried out, including a training session with the EUSALP Youth Council, two webinars on communication, hands-on workshops on writing and podcasting, and communication initiatives focused on the EUSALP strategy. Additionally, seven educational sessions were held in schools across the Alpine region.

Əunion chance: beyond borders
The project, promoted by Consulta provinciale del servizio giovani di Bolzano with the support of Fondazione Antonio Megalizzi, is a three-year training programme (2024–2026) aimed at newly elected council members. Through meetings, workshops, and trips to symbolic sites of European integration, the project seeks to strengthen participants’ skills, promote active participation, and foster collective growth with a forward-looking vision for the future of Europe.
S. Stefano Ventotene Youth Hub 2023
The project turned the islands of Santo Stefano and Ventotene into co-design laboratories for young people engaged in European citizenship. Following an initial webinar to share best practices, an in-person event fostered the creation of innovative initiatives to communicate Europe. This journey promoted active youth participation and helped develop a replicable model of collaboration.
Radio Marathon “Don’t Let This Voice Fade” (“Non fermiamo questa voce”)
Each year, on May 15 – Antonio Megalizzi’s birthday – and on December 11 – the anniversary of the Strasbourg attack – a radio marathon is broadcast in his memory. The initiative, aired by university radios of the Raduni network in collaboration with Europhonica and Fondazione Antonio Megalizzi, features interviews and insights by and about Antonio Megalizzi and Bartosz Orent-Niedzielski, as well as original content created by young people from the partner organizations. The marathon also includes testimonials from prominent figures in politics and journalism, reaffirming the importance of remembrance and the values Antonio stood for.
