Citizenship, active participation and environment protection are some of the topics of the dissemination project implemented by the Italian EUSALP 2022 Presidency, held by the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano-Bozen, in cooperation with the Antonio Megalizzi Foundation and co-financed by the European Commission’s DG REGIO.

Claudio Napolitano, ambassador of the Antonio Megalizzi Foundation held several training sessions in the high schools of the EUSALP countries, supported by representatives of the Youth Council of EUSALP and other young volunteers from the countries involved.

Firstly, the project represents the final chapter of a process that began in March 2022. The Antonio Megalizzi Foundation trained the members of the EUSALP Youth Council in areas such as communication, information and the functioning of the media.
The Foundation and the youth councilors then planned dissemination activities in schools with teaching materials developed for the initiative. European history, policies, and institutions, as well as the role of the regions and the European Union Strategy for the Alpine Region are among the topics addressed with young people thanks to the e-book “Make your voice heard from the Alps!” realised by the Antonio Megalizzi Foundation with the Erickson publishing house, in collaboration with the Italian EUSALP 2022 Presidency.

The aim of the e-book is to support the involvement of young generations in the local, national and interregional decision-making process, in order to shape future development models for the Alpine regions, in line with the objective pursued by the Youth Council, the committee of young people representing the 7 EUSALP countries.

An e-book to discover Europe and the role of the European Regions, with a focus on the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region. It provides all the tools to become active and aware citizens at a local, national and European level.

Moreover, Claudio Napolitano, with the support of the Antonio Megalizzi Foundation, created a podcast to report the activities carried out and the role of EUSALP. The podcast, entitled “Let the Alps speak out”, aims at discover EUSALP, the European macroregional strategy for the Alpine territory and its protagonists.

The Antonio Megalizzi Foundation strongly support this initiative, which is the first European-level experimentation of its “Ambassadors project” and its model of a intergenerational training and dissemination.
