100 Students Gather in Trento for the Final Event of the European Project YOU-POD

From September 24 to 26, Trento will host the study visit of the European project “Youth of the EU: Participation for Democracy” (YOU-POD), promoted by the Antonio Megalizzi Foundation. The initiative will bring together around one hundred students from Italy, France, and Poland to discuss youth participation and create a collective podcast.
YOU-POD is a project selected by the European Commission under the CERV – Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme. Its goal is clear: to encourage active citizenship among young people aged 16 to 18 while strengthening their understanding of the European Union. Collaborating with the Foundation are the Lycée des Métiers du Bois in Mouchard (France) and the Europejska Fundacja Rozwoju Człowieka in Łódź (Poland).

The project began several months ago with webinars and workshops covering a variety of topics, from the history and institutions of the EU to youth policies, as well as journalism, radio, and podcasting. There were also practical activities, such as a survey on youth participation carried out directly by the participating classes.

The study visit marks the final stage of the project: three intense days of meetings, activities, and recordings, coordinated by the Antonio Megalizzi Foundation in collaboration with Cooperativa Mercurio.

With YOU-POD, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment to giving voice to the new generations, providing spaces and tools to tell the story of Europe from a youth perspective and to make young people active participants in a more vibrant and inclusive democracy.
